Anti-junta forces seizing control of one of Myanmar's most important border towns with China is a significant development for the country's democracy movement.

Clashes along China’s 2000km border with Myanmar are raising concerns about trade disruptions and a possible refugee problem in China. Since Friday, fighting between the military junta and local militias has erupted in Myanmar's Shan and Kachin States.

PM Hasina informed Bangladesh parliament that US seeks to remove her from power at any cost, and US has threatened to deny visas to those it accuses of obstructing election process, incld members of law enforcement agencies and both ruling & opposition parties.
