The Bodhi tree, revered by many, was found cut down in the premises of Thakurani Tamang in Roshī-5 on Wednesday night. DSP Shrestha mentioned that the tree had been felled with force, accompanied by around 20 individuals wielding weapons, instilling fear in the area.
Furthermore, four homemade socket bombs were discovered in the courtyard, along with jackets bearing the inscription "Nepal People's Liberation Army," as informed by the police. It was revealed that the same tree had been put up for sale a few months ago for a whopping 30 million rupees, as per information received by the police.
DSP Shrestha stated that no suspects have been apprehended yet, and investigations are ongoing. The incident has sparked concern and outrage among locals and authorities alike.
