⚡ Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday announced plans to construct a police station on the cleared land. "Now a police station will be constructed at the place where illegal encroachment (madarsa) was removed in Banbhulpura, Haldwani." Tweeted CM Pushkar Singh Dhami "This is a clear message from our government to the miscreants and rioters that no one who plays with the peace of Devbhoomi will be spared; there is no room for such miscreants in Uttarakhand," he added.

⚡ More arrests follow in Haldwani violence. Those arrested have been identified as Mahboob Alam, Zishan Parwez, Arshad Ahmad, Javed Siddiqui and Aslam Chaudhary. Police said that Abdul Malik and his son, who are accused of constructing an illegal madrassa, are absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest them. DGP Abhinav Kumar on Friday said that action would be taken under the stringent National Security Act (NSA) against those responsible. Now, sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) have also been added to the FIR.
