रामायण- The talk introduces Ramayan, the great work by Valmiki, which is the oldest sacred epic of the world. Composed in 24000 verses, it is essentially a religious work couched in the story of Sri Rama. It contains philosophical, ethical, moral and mythological themes based on the story of Sri Rama. It is a great work on the study of human nature and relations. Later poets developed various aspects of this great work, chief among them is Ramacharitmanas by Tulasidas. Over the period, Ramayana has become the fountainhead of Indian culture and one of the main roots of Indian spiritual tradition. By creating this work, Valmiki brought the essence of the Vedas to every home. With time, the popularity of Ramayana spread all over the country to bring courage and solace to billions of people for thousands of years.
