In the vibrant Nepali community of Bexley, London, a new working committee has taken charge under the capable leadership of Dr. Harish Gyawali. The election process unfolded smoothly, and Dr. Gyawali, who previously held the position of Senior Vice President and General Secretary, assumed the role of Chairman. The announcement of the newly elected working committee was made during the organization's annual general meeting and convention on a Saturday.
Shiba Ram Gurung secured the position of Senior Vice President within the newly formed committee, while Kedar Thapaliya, Bijita Gautam, Dipendra Sitoula, and Bal Mukund Prasai were elected as Vice Presidents. In addition, Himal Gurung became the Secretary, with Anju Kunwar as the Assistant Secretary. Narayan Babu Pant took on the responsibility of Treasurer, supported by Co-Treasurer Tilak Lamsal. The committee also welcomed Sabita Prasai Shiwakoti, Bimala Sapkota Sedhai, Pankaj Paudyal, Phurva Lama, Pradeep Tripathi, Shambhunath Adhikari, Rajendra Lamsal, Dhanraj Chongwang, Vishwaraj Poudel, and Sarita Sharma as members.
Under the guidance of the Election Committee Coordinator, Kesh Bahadur Gurung, all elected members were administered the oath of office and secrecy. Certificates were jointly distributed by Bijay Gurung, Roshan Gurung, Hemant Sedhai, and Bipin Niroula.
Prior to this, the opening and closing sessions of the program were successfully conducted under the leadership of the outgoing President, Anand Dharel. The founder president of the organization, Kesh Bahadur Gurung, former president Bijay Gurung, and other respected individuals extended their congratulations.
During the program, General Secretary Kedar Thapaliya and Treasurer Dipendra Sitoula presented their reports. After extensive discussions, amendments were made to the organization's constitution, which were presented by the Trustee of the organization and Coordinator of Vidhan Samiti Sanjib Subedi and input from members Yuvraj Neupane and outgoing president Anand Dharel. Notably, the revised constitution introduced one additional position of a Vice President.
The Bexley Nepali society has embarked on a new chapter with a dedicated working committee ready to serve the community's interests and aspirations.
