World’s second largest hindu temple and largest hand-carved temple will be inaugurated on 8th October in USA’s New Jersey.
About 90 km south of Times Square, New York, or about 289 km north of Washington DC, the 183 acre BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham in the little Robbinsville Township of New Jersey has been built by an army of more than 12,500 volunteers from across the US in over 12 years from 2011 to 2023.
It is next only to the 12th-century Angkor Wat Temple Complex, which is spread over 500 acres and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
