Former NDTV managing editors Aunindyo Chakraborty, and Newsclick journalists Urmilesh and Abhisar Sharma have been arrested on charges of terror links.

Nine journalists have been detained by DP on the charges of tarnishing the image of the government & the country by taking money from abroad (China).

"It is about sovereignty of India and not about freedom of speech. Newsclick funding push by China is an assault on the sovereignty of India."

"Large sum of money has been transferred electronically. An investigation by The New York Times had also reported that NewsClick is among organisations funded by a network tied to US millionaire for pushing Chinese propaganda."
