Mamata Banerjee expressed skepticism about Congress winning even 40 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, stating, "I don't know if Congress can secure 40 out of 300 seats. Why the arrogance? You visited Bengal; we are part of the INDI alliance. Inform me at least; I got to know from the administration. If you're brave enough, challenge the BJP in Varanasi. You're losing in places where you previously won!"

Highlighting the electoral challenges, she added, "We haven't won in Uttar Pradesh, and you haven't won in Rajasthan. Go and secure victories in those constituencies. Show me your courage. Win in Allahabad, win in Varanasi. Let's see the audacity of your party!"
