Tara Shahdeo, a national-level shooter, encountered a harrowing ordeal when she discovered the true identity of her husband, Ranjit Kohli, in 2014. Unbeknownst to her, Kohli was actually Raqibul Hasan posing as Ranjit Kohli.

Following this revelation, Tara faced coercion to convert her religion by Raqibul Hasan, his mother Khushar, and Mustaque Ahmad, the registrar of vigilance. Despite enduring physical abuse and torture, she remained steadfast in her refusal to change her faith.

Eventually rescued and hospitalized, Tara embarked on a courageous legal battle. After nine years of relentless pursuit of justice, the CBI court in 2023 delivered its verdict: Raqibul Hasan received a life sentence, Khushar was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, and Mustaque Ahmad was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
