Those arrested have been identified as Mahboob Alam, Zishan Parwez, Arshad Ahmad, Javed Siddiqui and Aslam Chaudhary. Police said that Abdul Malik and his son, who are accused of constructing an illegal madrassa, are absconding and raids are being conducted to arrest them.

DGP Abhinav Kumar on Friday said that action would be taken under the stringent National Security Act (NSA) against those responsible. Now, sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) have also been added to the FIR.
