French journalist Vanessa Dougnac was informed that she had to leave the country as the Indian authorities accused her of writing “malicious and critical” reports, “inimical to the interest of the sovereignty and integrity of India.”

The Indian authorities used diplomatic language. Two things and you deduce :

1. During her 23-year journalism career in India, Dougnac wrote reports from different parts of India and nearby countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

2. She never took permits to travel to places where foreigners and in some cases even Indians required permits to visit due to sensitivity of the area ( eg : parts of N East / India Myanmar borders / India China borders ).

You can guess what work she was doing under the garb of a journalism. Word is that she worked for a 5 eyes agency.
