I am extremely satisfied that finally the @NIA_India investigation in West Bengal Ram Navami Procession Violence Case is yielding result.
I had filed a Public Interest Litigation at the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court in March 2023 seeking NIA probe.
Hon'ble Calcutta High Court allowed NIA probe thereafter.
The State Govt even approached the Hon'ble Supreme Court in order to prevent NIA investigation, however Hon'ble Supreme Court didn't impose any restrictions on the NIA Investigation.
This National Investigation Agency Press Release confirms that 16 people have been arrested in connection with the Ram Navami Procession Violence in Dalkhola; Uttar Dinajpur District.
I am hopeful that the perpetrators of the violent attacks on the peaceful devotees who were participating in the Ram Navami Processions at Shibpur; Howrah District and Rishra; Sreerampur; Hooghly District, will also be arrested.
The criminals under the protection of Mamata Police and TMC Govt should realize that sooner or later the long arm of the Law is bound to catch up with them.
