Supreme Court issues notice to Centre on the pleas seeking stay on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019 and Citizen Amendment Rules, 2024.

Supreme Court asks the Centre to file its response by April 8 and posts the matter for hearing on April 9.

SC will then ask Govt to file reply and then take it to Constitutional bench. DYC will head it and allow few arguments by Lelis for the sake of it.

Smokescreen is being built. Later he will reject the stay and allow it through the bench by vote of 3:2 by adding dissent note.
