What media has completely missed because they go by TRP and not Data
Data itself is useless, unless it is seen in right context
Note that voting turnout is relatively much higher in opposition ruled states (TN, Kerala, WB etc) while it is lower in BJP ruled states… and also in non BJP states, Modi supporters now have a purpose and coming out in large numbers. This has boosted the voting % in non BJP states
WHY?
It is because wherever opposition supporters feel that their party is in the game, they are coming out to vote but where they know their parties are losing (Hindi heartland etc), they are disheartened and choosing to stay indoors!
This proves the point that turnover is low primarily because opposition voters, knowing their party’s imminent defeat, choose to sit at home than vote…
Also the fact that many traditional Cong voters are not voting as they are spooked by Rahul’s call for wealth redistribution and M reservations!
I repeat, this is not just a wave but “Modi Tsunami” election!
