The previous UPA government not only stalled indigenous DEFENSE projects but allegedly delayed and misled the policies:

1) In 2014, before the Modi government was formed, the BrahMos Aerospace team going on a tour to the Philippines was stopped.

2) In 2010, the Indonesian team present in New Delhi was prevented from visiting BrahMos Aerospace.

3) Not only this, in 2011 the Foreign Secretary said that till the export policy is not formulated, there should be no discussion on the export of Brahmos.
