Alarming Report: Threats to the Indian Constitution

Recent political developments in India have raised significant concerns about the integrity and future of the Indian Constitution. Certain individuals, who have publicly blamed others for attempting to replace or abolish the Constitution, are themselves engaging in actions that undermine this foundational document.

The Indian public seems to be inadequately aware of the gravity of the situation. A disturbing scenario has emerged where an elected official, who should be upholding the principles of the Constitution, is instead acting contrary to their oath of office. This behavior not only breaks the constitutional oath but also threatens the democratic fabric of the nation.

The bengal government's actions suggest a disregard for constitutional duties, which poses a severe risk to India's democratic governance. Recently, Udayan Guha, the TMC Minister of North Bengal Development, announced the sanctioning of 4 crore INR for Mathabhanga 1 block and 10 crore INR for Mathabhanga 2 block. However, he stated that not a single penny would be sanctioned for Coochbehar town, Dinhata town, and Mathabhanga town because these areas voted for the BJP .

This explicit punishment of areas for their electoral choices undermines the principles of democracy and equality enshrined in the Constitution. It is an alarming indication of partisan politics taking precedence over the welfare of citizens, irrespective of their political affiliations.

There is an urgent need for heightened awareness and vigilance among the Indian populace to ensure that constitutional violations do not go unchecked. The imposition of President's Rule might be a necessary step to restore constitutional order and uphold the rule of law in India.
