Court finds IMC chief Maulana Tauqeer the mastermind of 2010 riots.

Gyanvapi case judge, Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court-I, Ravi Kumar Diwakar has considered Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC) chief Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan as the mastermind of the 2010 riots. The court has issued summons and summoned the accused Maulana to the court on March 11.

Gyanvapi Mandir Side has filed two fresh pleas in the SC:

-Plea 1: Demands ASI Survey of the Wazukhana.

-Plea 2: Demands removal of Wazukhana seal.

The Hindu women plaintiffs in the Gyanvapi case will approach the Supreme Court to request the opening of sealed cellars in the Varanasi mosque.

The plaintiffs' advocate, Vishnu Shankar Jain, contended that these cellars were believed to contain crucial evidence of a Hindu Mandir predating the current edifice, as revealed in last week's ASI survey report.

Jain will also present another plea before SC. This seeks an ASI survey of the sealed "wuzukhana (ablution water tank)" on the Gyanvapi premises. The tank has been sealed since May 16, 2022, after the Hindu side claimed that a "Shivling" was found there during an earlier court-mandated survey.

Both Hindu and Muslim parties will receive hard copies of the report after submitting an affidavit. This decision aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the ongoing legal proceedings.
