In India, railway trains have four classes the air-conditioned, the first class, the second class and the third class. And the country is so poor that even to afford a third-class ticket is difficult for almost half of the people of the land. Gandhi started traveling in third class.

"This is simply crowding the third class, it is already too crowded. This is not helping the poor." And you will be surprised; because Gandhi was traveling in the third class, the whole compartment was booked for him. In a 60ft compartment, where at least 80 to 90 persons would have traveled, he alone is traveling.

And Gandhi’s biographers will write, "He was so kind to the poor." He used to drink goat's milk because that is the cheapest, and the poorest of people can afford it.

Naturally, everybody who is conditioned with the idea immediately appreciates what a great man he is. But you don't know about his goat! I am a little crazy, because I don't care about Mahatma Gandhi much, but I care certainly about the goat. I inquired everything about the goat, and I found that his goat was being bathed every day with Lux toilet soap. The food of the goat cost in those days 10 rupees, ten rupees was the salary of a schoolteacher for one month. But nobody will look into these matters.

Only one woman, a very intelligent woman in Mahatma Gandhi's circle, Sarojini Naidu later on she became the governor of North India joked once that to keep Mahatma Gandhi poor, we have to destroy treasures.

His poverty is very costly. But it worked. As a politician he became the greatest politician because the poor people thought, "This is the man who is our real representative because he lives like a poor man in a cottage, he drinks goats' milk, he travels in third class." Justice G D Khosla was a judge who heard the case of Nathuram Godse and sentenced Nathuram Godse to death.

After Godse was hanged, the judge writes in his book "The Murder of Mahatma and Other Cases from a Judge's Diary" on page number 305 - 06 that:

“In the court, Godse gave a five-hour-long statement, which ran into 90 pages. When Godse stopped speaking after five hours of continuous speech, everyone in the audience was stunned and distraught. The last paragraph of Godse statement is as follows: "My confidence about the Moral side of my Action has not been shaken even by the criticism leveled of against it on all sides. I have no doubts Honest writers of History will weigh my act and find the True Value thereof on someone day in Future."

After hearing Godse's statement, I did not want to give him death sentence but I was forced to do so under the pressure of the Government and Administration. Delhi Govt issues Gazette notification of 'Restrictions' to be imposed during G20 meeting


Delhi Government has issued a Gazette notification on traffic restrictions in the capital for the G20 Summit. As a result of the restrictions, goods vehicles and taxi movement in the capital will be affected. The notification shall come into force w.e.f September 7 and remain in force till September 10, 2023.

According to the notification, all types of goods vehicles, commercial vehicles, interstate buses and local city buses shall not operate on Mathura Road (beyond Ashram Chowk), Bhairon Road, Purana Quila Road and inside Pragati Maidan Tunnel from 00:00 hours on the intervening night of September 7 and 8 to 23:59 hours on September 10.

- Goods vehicles carrying Essential Commodities such as milk, vegetables, fruits, medical supplies, etc., having valid ‘No Entry Permissions’ will be allowed to enter into Delhi.

- The entire area of New Delhi District will be considered as “Controlled Zone-I” from 05:00 hours of September 8 to 23:59 hours on September 10.

- The entire area inside Ring Road (Mahatma Gandhi Marg) will be considered as “Regulated Zone” from 05:00 hours of September 8 to 23:59 hours on September 10. Only bonafide residents, authorized vehicles, emergency vehicles and vehicles of passengers travelling to Airport, Old Delhi & New Delhi Railway Stations will be allowed to ply on road network of New Delhi District.

- No TSR and Taxi will be allowed to enter or ply in New Delhi District from 05:00 hours of September 9 to 23:59 hours on September 10.

- All types of commercial vehicles including buses which are already present in Delhi shall be allowed to move on Ring Road and road network beyond Ring Road towards the borders of Delhi.

- Vehicles of Armed Forces, Paramilitary Forces, Police, Disaster Management, Fire tenders, Ambulance and those engaged in emergency services like road maintenance, maintenance of electric supply, water/sewage line, communication network, etc will be allowed to move throughout Delhi.

During partition, Meo Muslims of Mewat were going to Pakistan, but thanks to Mahatma Gandhi's intervention, they stayed backed in India. 🥰
