West Bengal: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) brought Shajahan Sheikh's brother Sheikh Alomgir and two others- Mafaujar Molla and Sirajul Molla to the sub-divisional court in Basirhat. They were arrested in the Sandeshkhali ED assault case by the CBI.

Another Setback to Bengal Govt, The Kolkata High Court has granted 80 Sandeshkhali women, including petitioner Priyanka Tibrewala, the opportunity to file complaints. The Chief Justice acknowledged the need for these women to share their experiences, allowing them to file complaints through application or affidavit. The court has also directed that the victims' statements must be verified and their identities must be clear. If local women provide their statements in their own language, a translated copy should be provided.
